1. Who gets the commercial licence
Songs created while you have an active paid subscription, or using credits from a purchased pack, are covered by this licence. Songs created on the free plan are for personal, non-commercial use only unless you later upgrade them (see section 4).
2. What you may do
- Use the song in videos, podcasts, games, apps, advertisements, social media, live events and other commercial projects, worldwide and for an unlimited time.
- Distribute it on streaming platforms and stores, subject to their own AI policies.
- Modify, remix, extend and combine it with other material.
- Monetise content that contains it, for example on YouTube or TikTok.
3. What you may not do
- Register the song, or any part of it, with a content-ID system or collecting society in a way that blocks other users' legitimately generated songs.
- Present the song as the authentic performance of a real artist, or use it to impersonate anyone.
- Resell or redistribute the song on its own as stock music or in a sound library, or use it to train AI models.
- Use it in content that breaches our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Upgrading free-plan songs
If you created a song on the free plan and later purchase a plan or pack, email support with the song ID and we will issue a licence certificate for it; it is then covered by this licence from the date of the certificate.
5. Licence certificates
For any covered song we will issue, on request to the support address, a certificate (PDF) stating the song ID, creation date, the account that created it and the plan in force, which you can keep as proof of licence.
6. Nature of the rights
As between you and KeepYourSong, we assign to you the rights we hold in the song. Because the song is AI-generated, we cannot guarantee that it qualifies for copyright protection, that it is unique, or that it will be accepted by any platform. This licence is subject to the licences of the AI model providers we use, which we pass through to you as far as they allow.
